Staff

	Donald G. Chapman, AIA donald@chapmandesign.com President & Founder Don was the last child born to a military family of five in 1966 in Yokosuka, Japan. In 1971 the Chapman family eventually settled in Anderson. After graduating high school in 1984, He attended the Savannah College of Art and Design and in 1989 received a double major, a Master’s Degree in Architecture and a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. He also studied architecture in England for a summer as well as New York. In order to finance his college education, he worked mostly full time for several Architectural firms in the Savannah and Hilton Head areas. After returning to Anderson he established Chapman Design Group, Inc. in 1994, the following year married his wife Amy. Don loves his community and enjoys being very active in the Anderson serving on a variety boards and committees, he is currently President of the Anderson County Arts Center and is a past board member of the Anderson Sertoma Club, the Downtown Merchants Association, and the Savannah College of Art and Design Architectural Advisory Board. Don is the Developer and Builder of Stonebridge Subdivision.

	Anna S. Cheek anna@chapmandesign.com Senior Interior Designer Anna is originally from Greensboro, North Carolina and has lived in Anderson since 1985. She graduated in 1996 from Converse College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design, and is currently an allied member of ASID. (American Society for Interior Designers) She joined Chapman Design in 1999. She has worked previously as a consultant with a kitchen and bath showroom in Anderson and as Senior Designer for a full service Interior Design firm in Greenville. Anna is accustomed to working with client's different personal styles and budgets and has worked on a variety of designs from residential to commercial.

	Ellen C. Martin ellen@chapmandesign.com Intern Architect After graduating from T. L. Hanna High School in Anderson, South Carolina, Ellen studied at the College of Charleston for two years. She then transferred to Clemson University to study architecture and received a Bachelor of Arts in design. She returned to Clemson and began her graduate work 2002 and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Architecture with a concentration in Health Care Architecture.

	Amy W. Chapman amy@chapmandesign.com Office Manager Born and raised in Anderson, Amy continued her upstate tie by attending Clemson University and earning a Bachelor’s Degree in May 1991. She then was the Accounting Coordinator for two Mid-sized corporations as well as owning and operating The Lunch Box in downtown Anderson for several years. Amy handled all the financial aspects for the group before joining the staff full time in October of 2004. Amy is currently the Sales, Marketing and Finance Manager for Tetra Investment, LLC and Chapman Design Group. Amy is also active in the community serving on several boards and committees. She is a past board member of the Downtown Merchants Association , a member of The Women's Leadership Initiative and a Board Member of the National Trust Main Street Program for Anderson, SC. Amy is a Realtor – A member of the Anderson Association of Realtors associated with Anderson Area Properties. Amy is on the board for The Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Clemson University.

	Doug S. Chapman doug@chapmandesign.com Project Manager - Stonebridge at Rankin's Lake Doug grew up in Anderson and is a 1983 graduate of T.L. Hanna High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Lander University in Greenwood, SC in 1989. Doug lives in Taylors, SC with his wife, Libby of 16 years and their two children. Doug came on staff in November of 2004 as Project Manager for Stonebridge at Rankin’s Lake.
