Tosi Residence

Designed for a couple retiring to the south, this 5,100 sq. ft. home is located on a steep rocky lot on Lake Keowee. The lot required demolition of stone that was able to be reused in the front wall as well as in the rear landscaping. The home is three stories and uses stone and cedar shakes on its exterior. The primary focus for the design of this home was to utilize the lake views by including large windows for maximum natural light, a curved rear wall to maximize views which continues into the study on the right and to the dining room in the front of the house, and a two level deck thatĀ emulatesĀ the curved walls and utilizes cable rails as to not impede the view of the lake from inside the house. Because of the steep lot, the three car garage is engaged into the site to minimize the site drop at the back of the house. The Master Bedroom is on the main level of the home and includes abundant views of the lake. A secluded stair on the left side of the house leads to the lower level where activity rooms, bedrooms, and a craft room can be found.
