The Haynie Residence is located on the land of a previous horse farm at the end of a cul-de-sac on Lake Hartwell. On this property however, the lake views were to the left rather than to the back as most lakefront properties are. The owners requested that the home face the entry from the cul-de-sac while creating lake views on the left side of the home. Upon approaching the grand 7,000 sq. ft. Georgian style home, guests enter through a wrought iron gate and into a driveway with a large circle and large central water fountain as the focal point. The garage is located on the right side of the home. A grand double staircase with wrought iron railing greets guests in the foyer. The left side of the home contains the maximum amount of windows to allow for extraordinary lake views and a double curved porch also allows for lake view enjoyment. The lower level contains a large den and activity area for gaming. The upper level contains bedrooms each with their own private bath. The rear of the home faces a pool area containing a hot tub on one end and kiddy pool on the other end with each spilling into the main pool. There is a pool house as well as an outdoor porch with a fireplace and grill. This entertaining area is easily accessed from the main house and has a private atmosphere while still having views of the lake.
