1984, he attended the Savannah College of Art and Design and in 1989 received a double major, a Master’s Degree in Architecture and a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.

In order to finance his college education, Don worked mostly full time for several Architectural firms in the Savannah and Hilton Head areas.

After returning to Anderson, he established Chapman Design Group, Inc. in 1994, and the following year married his wife Amy. Don loves his community and enjoys being very active in Anderson. He currently serves as a Councilman for the City of Anderson – Seat 2. In addition Don has served as president of the Home Builder’s Association of Anderson, Anderson County Arts Center, and has served on a variety of boards and committees.

Don is the Developer and Builder of Stonebridge at Rankin’s Lake which is proud to be “South Carolina’s First All Electric Energy Star Community”.

received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture degree in 2016. Upon graduation form Clemson he married his high school girlfriend Kimi and they moved west to Denver Colorado. Joel attended the University of Colorado Denver where he received a Master’s Degree in architecture in 2018.

While attending UC Denver he worked as student director of fabrication, which led him to interior and furniture design after graduation. After a few years studying and working in Denver he and his wife decided to move back to Clemson, SC.

Joel joined Chapman Design Group, Inc. In 2019 as an architectural intern. While studying under Don, he is continuing to sit for his Architecture License exams. Joel primarily works on the drawing sets and 3D renderings while also accompanying Don in client meetings and site visits.

Amy handled all the financial aspects for Chapman Design Group before joining the team full time in October of 2004. Amy is currently the Sales, Marketing and Finance Manager for Chapman Design Group, Inc. and President of Icon Construction of South Carolina, LLC.

Amy is also a member of the Western Upstate Association of Realtors associated with Anderson Area Properties as a licensed Realtor since 2005.

Amy is also active in the community serving on several boards and committees. She has served as past President and Treasurer of the Friends of the Anderson County Museum Board. She is a past board member of the Women’s Leadership Initiative, the Downtown Merchants Association, the National Trust Main Street Program for Anderson, SC and The Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Clemson University.

Doug joined the group in November of 2004. Since then he has managed the production of more than 150 projects for the group’s construction division, Icon Construction of SC, LLC

Construction and Chapman Design Group. She is a project manager with Icon and works with Chapman Design Group performing numerous drafting duties for many projects.

She has many and various responsibilities in handling scheduling, estimating and coordinating material orders, deliveries and subcontractor schedules in addition to her drafting duties with Chapman Design.

Brittany is a Clemson graduate with a degree in Construction Science & Management. Before becoming a member of the team at Icon Construction and Chapman Design Group, Brittany worked with Vannoy Construction as a project engineer.

Brittany enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her pets Cooper, Scout, and Watson.
